Founded in 2005 by surfers from the Agadir region, Imouran is a non-profit association that aims to support local Surf and Bodyboard champions, the training of young people, the organization of international and national competitions, and the promotion of surfing in the region in addition to environmental protection.
The Agadir Open waś launched in 2011 with a view to making it an international RDV.
The idea for the tournament arose when Imouran waś chosen by the Royal Moroccan Surfing Federation as the host club for the European Tour of bodyboarding on two occasions, and also as host of the EUROJUNIOR.
